This timeline explains the complete process from registration to certification.
Create an Account
Register for free on the Kanbanstudy™ certification portal. Your account provides access to the KBOK™ Guide, free resources, and your personal certification dashboard to track your progress.
Enroll in Training
Enroll with an Authorized Training Partner (A.T.P.) or choose the online learning option. For beginners, you can attend the free Kanban Essentials Certified (KEC) 3-hour virtual instructor-led webinar.
Prepare for Exam
Study using the official KBOK™ Guide (A Guide to the Kanban Body of Knowledge) and high-quality online resources. Utilize chapter tests, study guides, and flashcards to reinforce your understanding of Kanban principles and metrics.
Schedule and Take Exam
Schedule your exam through the portal. Depending on the level, you will take either an unproctored exam (for Essentials) or a proctored online exam (for Professional/Manager levels) in a secure environment.
Get Certified
Upon passing the exam, download your digital certificate. Your credentials will be added to the Kanbanstudy™ Certification Registry, validating your expertise in optimizing workflow efficiency and ROI.
How to Schedule Your kanban Exam
Scheduling your Kanbanstudy™ certification exam is a quick and straightforward process that can be completed in just a few minutes through your learner portal.
Login to Portal
Go to online.vmedu.com and sign in to your Kanbanstudy certification account using your registered credentials.
Go to My Exams
Select the My Exams section from the from your personalized dashboard to view the exams you are eligible to take.
Schedule Exam
Select your preferred language, time zone, date, and time. Once confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email with detailed instructions.

Ensure your system meets these requirements before starting the exam.
Webcam
A functional webcam is mandatory for proctored exams (Professional/Manager levels) to monitor the testing environment and maintain integrity.
Internet
A stable, high-speed internet connection is required to prevent interruptions during the exam session.
Browser
Use the latest version of a modern web browser such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Microsoft Edge.
Quiet Room
Choose a private, well-lit environment free from noise, distractions, or other people for the duration of the exam.
Certification Validity
Kanbanstudy™ certifications are designed to reflect current industry standards and require periodic renewal to ensure continued proficiency.
Validity Period
Your certification remains valid for three years from the date you pass the exam.
Recertification
To maintain your active status, you can recertify by retaking the current version of the exam or by earning a higher-level Kanbanstudy certification.
